
The Home City Ice Company offers a variety of full-time, part-time, and seasonal jobs in areas such as production, driving, and office work. We offer competitive wages, flexible schedules, and jobs average between minimum wage and $12.00 per hour. Jobs offer anywhere from 10 - 40 hours per week, and in some areas you can work more if desired.

Join the backbone of the entire process of selling ice! Using state-of-the-art machinery to package the ice, you will be responsible for stacking ice that will be later be delivered to our customers. In many circumstances, you will also be responsible for loading the trucks with a hand lift truck according to certain pre-determined loading patterns. This job requires workers who have strength, dependability, a good work ethic, and do not mind manual labor. Lifting of bags ranging from 7 lbs. to 40 lbs. for extended periods of time is required. Positions are available during first shift, second shift, and third shift during seasonal times of the year.

this job is for you! It uses a variety of skills including driving
skills, manual labor skills, sales skills, and social skills.
Drivers can have either a non-CDL drivers' license or a CDL
drivers' license.
Note: Driver positions require less than 5 points on
your Driving Record in the last 3 years, and applicants must be 18
years of age or older.
If manual labor isn't for you, join our office staff. This job consists of basic computer data entry, answering of telephones, and doing paperwork. Some computer and office skills are necessary, though extensive skills are not required. Seasonal positions are available at most Home City Ice locations.
On average, each one of Home City Ice's plants can produce up to 145 tons of ice a day. That's equivalent to 15 elephants. Combine all 28 production facilities and that's 4,400 tons a DAY or about 500 elephants!

Almost 80% of the customers we service are within a 25 mile radius of a distribution point allowing for quick, reliable and efficient service.

Home City Ice operates 28 facilities across 8 states. No one facility represents more than 5% of HCI's total capacity allowing for a reliable source of supply in case of mechanical failure, power outage or water advisories.

Home City Ice stocks up on ice in 66 freezers across the region, so you don't run out of ice.

Our production facilities are up and running every day of the week and even sometimes through the night. That's to make sure you get as much ice as you need when you need it.

Home City Ice can produce bags of ice as small as 3 lbs, and as large as 1000 lbs. Whoa, now that's a big bag of ice!

Home City Ice has a fleet of over 725 vehicles available to serve our customers every day of the year.

Going into the 4th of July Holiday, Home City Ice will have almost 20,000 pallets of finished product available for immediate distribution to our customers.

In 2008, over 400 packaged ice production facilities were inspected by NSF certified inspectors and only 11 received perfect scores of 100%. Home City Ice was awarded 8 of the 11 perfect scores.
